ABOUT THE FLAT CAT CAFE & GALLERY

Established in 1998, the Flat Cat Gallery originally exhibited a range of eastern rugs as well as work from local artists. A ‘flat Cat’ is a type of Tibetan rug… Woven to resemble a tiger skin, the rugs became known as flat cats, hence the Gallery name! Although we no longer sell rugs the name has stuck. Today we are delighted to bring you an eclectic and enticing range of art, ceramics, sculpture and jewellery which is representative of the rich artistic talent in the Scottish Borders and beyond.
